Mamata Kumari Shah serves as the Social Mobilization Officer for ROYM Nepal under the Improving Women’s Health through Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Building Project in Sarlahi. She has a strong track record in community mobilization, psychosocial counseling, women’s empowerment, and governance-focused advocacy. With over a decade of field-level experience across multiple districts of Madhesh Province, she has been a consistent voice for marginalized communities, women, and adolescent girls, working at the intersection of public health, social justice, and human rights. Mamata holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) and has completed an impressive list of professional trainings—ranging from gender equality, governance, and human rights to disability inclusion, psychosocial counseling, and disaster response. Her hands-on experience with organizations such as NEMAF, WOREC Nepal, UK Aid, UNFPA, Handicap International, USAID/The Asia Foundation, and others reflects her deep commitment to holistic, rights-based development.
