Mamata Kumari Shah serves as the Social Mobilization Officer for ROYM Nepal under the Improving Women’s Health through Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Building Project in Sarlahi. With over a decade of field-level experience across multiple districts of Madhesh Province, Mamata has built a strong reputation in community mobilization, psychosocial counseling, and governance-focused advocacy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) and has completed a wide range of professional trainings in gender equality, human rights, disability inclusion, disaster response, and psychosocial support. Her work consistently centers the voices of marginalized communities, especially women and adolescent girls, and bridges public health with social justice. Mamata has previously contributed to organizations such as NEMAF, WOREC Nepal, UK Aid, UNFPA, Handicap International, and USAID/The Asia Foundation, reflecting her deep commitment to holistic, rights-based development. At ROYM Nepal, she leads grassroots engagement, facilitates inclusive health dialogues, and strengthens community resilience through strategic mobilization and advocacy.
