Tara Bhusal, Senior Program Coordinator of ROYM Nepal, is a dedicated Climate Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) professional with over eight years of progressive experience working with national and international organizations. Her role in ROYM Nepal is to manage overall organizational operations, including administration, finance, staff supervision, policy compliance, and institutional capacity building. She holds a bachelor's degree in Forestry from the Institute of Forestry, Pokhara Campus, and a Master's degree in Rural Development from Tribhuvan University. Tara has worked with prominent organizations such as Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Social Development Forum (SDF) Banke in partnership with Save the Children, Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) Nepal, Goreto Gorkha, and Sundar Nepal Sanstha/USAID PAHAL Program, where she led and supported projects focused on anticipatory action, climate adaptation, early warning system and community-based disaster preparedness. She has contributed to the development of key policy instruments, including Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Plan, Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan, Early Action Protocols, and guidelines for DRRM fund mobilization. With strong skills in stakeholder coordination, project cycle management, nature-based solutions, technical training delivery, and localization of climate adaptation and DRR, Tara is committed to strengthening climate resilience and disaster governance at the community and policy levels.
