Prakash Nepali DRR and Social Mobilization Associate, Karnali
Prakash Nepali is working as a DRR and Social Mobilization Associate in Karnali Province for ROYM Nepal. Prakash is a qualified and dedicated social worker with over eight years of experience in youth mobilization, nutrition, disaster risk reduction (DRR), resilience building, and WASH programs. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education (EPM) from Tribhuvan University, having completed his Bachelor’s in Education and Population Studies from Salyan Multiple Campus. Prakash has served as a Youth Resource Person under the USAID-ARH project and previously worked for six years as a Municipal Nutrition Facilitator with the SUAAHARA I and II programs, where he led community engagement, capacity building, and multi-sectoral coordination. His career also includes roles as a Community Facilitator, Group Leader, and Field Supervisor, contributing to inclusive planning, nutrition governance, and social behavior change communication. Prakash’s early experience as a Program Presenter at Radio Rapti FM reflects his strong communication skills and commitment to women’s empowerment. At ROYM Nepal, he brings a wealth of grassroots experience, strategic coordination abilities, and a passion for inclusive development to support DRR and social mobilization efforts across Karnali.
